Donyale Werle

Donyale Werle (Principal Designer she/her) has been designing sets on an off Broadway for 20 years. In 2017 she went back to school to study horticulture and landscape design at Brooklyn Botanic Garden and New York Botanical Garden. Donyale is a sustainability activist who leads masterclasses and does public speaking nationally and internationally on sustainable practices for theatrical design. She teaches in the graduate program at Brooklyn College Department of Theater and has served as an adjunct professor of design at NYU. Awards include a Tony, OBIE, Lucille Lortel, Henry Hewes and a Gerbode foundation grant. Nominations include a Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and a Audelco Award.

Paul Jepson

Paul Jepson (Install & Maintenance he/him) has served as an IATSE Local 4 (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 4, Brooklyn, NY) stagehand for 20 years. He specializes in electrics, rigging, carpentry, managing crews, and props. His clients include BAM, Kings Theater, Sesame Street, Broadway, U.S. Open and CBS. At CBS, he was part of the 3-time Emmy-winning lighting team for the long running soap opera “As The World Turns’ (Donna Larson, Designer). Paul’s certifications include OSHA 30 (Occupational Safety & Health Administration), Forklift, Aerial Work Platform, Certification of Fitness for Indoor Place of Assembly After Personal (F-03) and CPR/AED/Child CPR & First Aid. Paul has also completed COVID safety training. Paul builds, lights, installs and maintains gardens with Theater/Gardens * NYC and as many of his colleagues will attest to is “Do-it-all-Paul”.

Bradley Wehrle

Bradley Wehrle (Creative Engineer he/him) is a technical designer and creative engineer based in Los Angeles, CA. As Donyale's Associate designer (2015-present), Bradley has worked with Theater/Gardens*NYC to find sustainable and effective solutions to problems in scenic design and urban gardens. Bradley's expertise is wide-ranging, including 2D/3D Drafting, physical model making, graphic design, IT, and scenic art/construction. He has recently made a selection of designer focused 3D printed model pieces and lights available for purchase on his website, BradleyWehrle.com

Ayana hosten

Ayana Hosten is an Independent Art & Cultural Worker. When she is not managing or producing public art opportunities she is using her many years of administrative & bookkeeping experience to make sure the studio's finances run smoothly and our books are up to date and organized.

Paper Mâché Monkey (Fabrication Shop) is a Brooklyn-based design and fabrication workshop specializing to create custom objects for custom environments.
